Michelle Jo Semins, MD, is a urologist who specializes in the treatment and prevention of kidney stones. She previously was Associate Professor and urologic surgeon at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and director of the UPMC Mercy Kidney Stone Clinic. She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan and her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She then completed her internship in surgery and residency urology training at Johns Hopkins Hospital with additional specialty training in the field of endourology.
Dr. Semins is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA) and serves on four AUA committees. She is a board member of the Northeastern Section of the AUA. She is a member of the Endourological Society and serves as Chair of their Diversity and Inclusivity Committee. She is also a member of the Research on Calculus Kinetics Society and the Society of Women in Urology. She is certified by the American Board of Urology.
